Arnold Mesh Lights in Autodesk Maya

  • Hit ‘7’ on the keyboard to activate all lights in the workspace
  • Create an object that you want to be the light
  • Select the object in object mode
  • Go to ‘Arnold’ > ‘Lights’ > ‘Mesh Light’
  • You’ll notice that the object dissappear leaving an empty mesh which emits light
  • All of the light settings will be available in the attribute editor
