Duplicate with Transform in Autodesk Maya

Duplicate objects and transform in some way, this could include equal spacing or rotation.  Relies on an object being duplicated and moved once already using the simple duplication (CMD+D)

  • Select object
  • Open the edit menu (from the most top menu)
  • Select ‘Duplicate with transform’ (SHIFT+D)
  • A new object will be created with the same spacing as previously created using the simple duplicate tool.
  • You can do this several times, for example to create a row of chairs
