A quick and brief example of adding wind to a flame and smoke in Houdini.
Let’s use a simple example. A sphere that we have defined as flames (Pyro FX > Flames):

We have a fire with dense smoke, and we would like to add some wind.
Press TAB in the network and add a new ‘Gas Wind’ node and connect it to the ‘Velocity Update (Input 3)’ input of the pyro solver:

Adjust the wind direction in the gaswind properties:
