The wedge tool in Autodesk Maya
Great for creating things like pipes.
- For this you need to select a face and an edge, do this using the multi select tool in the modelling toolkit
- Select an edge and a face
- Goto edit mesh – wedge
- The edge acts as a new pivot
- The face is extruded from the edges which are not selected
- You can add further detail in the attribute editor or channel box
